The Healthcare Management Certificate of Technical Studies program prepares individuals for management positions in the healthcare industry responsible for carrying out policies, goals, and procedures for the departments or facilities. Duties include hiring, scheduling, and evaluating staff; monitoring compliance with state and federal guidelines; and developing reports and budgets. All of the courses in the CTS Healthcare Management program are needed in the AAS Healthcare Management (Professional Practice).
Learning Outcomes:
Recipients of the Certificate of Technical Studies in Healthcare Management will have demonstrated:
- apply management theory to real world and hypothetical healthcare situations.
- utilize innovative processes and trends to acquire, develop, and retain competent employees.
- utilize innovative technologies in the management of healthcare information.
- demonstrate the ability to solve issues using basic healthcare legal and ethical principles.
