YMAU 198 - EMPWR - OIL AND GAS

The BPCC EMPWR Oil and Gas Training Program is an intensive, hands-on workforce initiative designed to prepare individuals for high-demand careers in the energy sector. Delivered through Bossier Parish Community College and hosted at the Center for Advanced Manufacturing and Engineering Technology (CAMET), this program equips participants with industry-recognized certifications and practical skills aligned with entry-level roles in oil and gas operations. Students receive training in workplace safety (including OSHA), equipment fundamentals, process awareness, and essential employability skills such as teamwork, communication, and problem solving. Through a combination of classroom instruction, lab-based simulations, and direct engagement with regional industry partners, EMPWR participants gain real-world insight and are prepared for immediate employment opportunities, including access to employer networking and guaranteed interview pathways upon successful completion.
