YCOS 111 - INTRO TO ELECTRICAL BOOTCAMP The Intro to Electrical Bootcamp at Bossier Parish Community College is a fast-paced 3-week workforce training program designed to introduce participants to the fundamentals of electrical systems, industrial safety, and entry-level electrical construction skills commonly used in manufacturing, commercial construction, and data center environments. Delivered at the CAMET facility, this hands-on bootcamp combines classroom instruction with practical lab experiences focused on electrical safety, hand tools, measurements, blueprint basics, workplace readiness, and introductory wiring concepts. Participants will gain exposure to real-world electrical and infrastructure applications while developing the foundational skills employers seek in entry-level electrical helpers and technicians. Graduates will earn industry-recognized certifications including OSHA 10, Fundamentals of Industry, CPT Safety, Precision Measurement Instruments (PMI), Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Hand Tools, and NCCER Core introductory modules, while also receiving career coaching, employer engagement opportunities, and access to interview opportunities with regional industry partners.
