YCOS 110 - HVAC FUNDAMENTALS

This 8-week HVAC Fundamentals course provides students with a comprehensive introduction to the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning industry, combining essential technical knowledge with nationally recognized credentials. Participants will build a strong foundation in safety, tools, basic electricity, refrigeration principles, and system components while completing the NCCER CORE certification to develop workplace readiness skills in construction and skilled trades. The course also prepares students for and includes the EPA Section 608 Certification, ensuring they are qualified to safely handle refrigerants in compliance with federal regulations. Through a blend of classroom instruction and hands-on lab activities, students gain practical experience working with HVAC systems, positioning them for entry-level employment and continued training in the field.
