YCOS 109 - BASIC CONSTRUCTION CRAFTS


This 3-week Basic Construction Craft course provides an intensive introduction to the foundational skills needed for entry-level work in the construction industry. Students will complete NCCER Core curriculum modules, gaining essential knowledge in construction math, blueprint reading, communication, and employability skills. The course emphasizes hands-on training with basic tools and equipment, ensuring participants learn proper usage, maintenance, and jobsite best practices. A strong focus on safety prepares students to recognize hazards and follow OSHA-aligned procedures, while integrated forklift certification training equips them with the knowledge and practical skills required for safe forklift operation. By the end of the program, students will have industry-recognized credentials and the confidence to begin a career in construction.
