YHET 121 - OPHTHALMIC MEDICAL ASSISTANT CERTIFICATION PROGRAM

This program is designed to prepare students for the Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) exam administered by the Joint Commission of Allied Health Personnel in Ophthalmology (JCAHPO). Combining classroom learning and clinical experience, this program equips students with the skills necessary to transition directly from training to a clinical environment.

Course Objectives:
Upon completion of this course, students will:

1. Understand the role and responsibilities of an ophthalmic medical assistant.
2. Acquire knowledge of eye anatomy and physiology.
