YHET 111 - CERTIFIED NURSE ASSISTANT (CNA) BOSSIER CAMPUS This Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) program prepares students to work with long term care patients in settings such as nursing homes and home health care. Instruction includes medical terminology, health care safety, patient care lectures, patient care studies, practice lab experiences, and on site clinical training.
Required Documents
All applicants must submit the following documents in person before the start of the course:
1. Proof of Education:
-GED/HiSET Certificate, TABE test results, High School Diploma, or Official Transcript (originals required).
-Documentation must be submitted to BPCC Continuing Education when registering.
-Original documents must be presented at registration.
2. Criminal History Records Information:
-Criminal Background Check Agreement & Authorization to Obtain Consumer Report.
-Background checks are completed by BPCC Continuing Education and may take 3-4 days.
-A background check is required before attending. No exceptions.
3. Proof of Current Health Insurance Coverage
All required documents must be submitted in person to the CNA Program Office, Building D, Room D109.
Program Completion Requirements
To successfully complete the CNA Program and be recognized as a Certified Nurse Assistant in Louisiana, students must:
• Earn a grade of C or better in all coursework.
• Score at least 70% on the final exam.
• Pass both the written and clinical skills portions of the state certification exam.
State Certification Exam Fee-now included in the Course Fee.
We now offer a payment plan for any non-credit class with a tuition rate of $1,000 or more. The payment plan is a fixed, 3-month installment option, with the first payment due at the time of enrollment. The entire process is self-serve. Students simply log into LOLA, select Pay for Classes, and enroll in the payment plan. There is an enrollment fee to participate in the payment plan.
