YINF 139 - CERTIFIED PREMISE CABLING TECHNICIAN

This program is designed to instruct students on all of the elements of network cabling and termination, and follows the transmission of data through patch-cords, faceplates, patch panels, fiber optic cable media and copper cable media. It includes a rigorous series of hands-on labs that expose students to various connectors and termination methodologies on a wide range of copper and fiber cable types. The program consists of hands-on workshops for terminating copper jacks and patch cords, demonstrations on fiber optic cable and includes a detailed analysis of a fully functional copper/fiber integrated network. Students must then certify their work using a variety of test devices and documenting their results.
