Business Office Administration, Accounting Concentration, AAS


The Associate of Applied Science Business Office Administration degree program with a concentration in Accounting provides students with a comprehensive offering of accounting and business courses that collectively prepare students for qualified entrance into the accounting field.

Learning Outcomes:

Recipients of the Applied Associate in Business Office Administration (Accounting) concentration will have demonstrated:

  1. understand core principles related to financial, managerial, computerized, and payroll accounting.
  2. utilize the various financial forms needed within an organization.
  3. learn how to keep accurate accounting records.
  4. develop skills related to entering and organizing data.
  5. practice professionalism and soft skills.

Required courses for a AAS Business Office Administration, Accounting Concentration:

Freshman Year


Second Semester: 15 Hours


Sophomore Year


First Semester: 15 Hours


Second Semester: 15 Hours


Total Credit Hours: 60


*For transfer to four-year institution, students are strongly advised to take MATH 102 instead of MATH 101. Students must seek the assistance of their advisor to determine the appropriate mathematics course.

**Any 200 level ACCT, BADM, HCM course may be used as an elective.

Students must meet prerequisites before enrolling in any given course. Student s must earn a minimum grade of “C” in each course required in the curriculum.

Students planning to transfer to another college or university should check with that college or university to determine the transferability of any course taken at BPCC. Not all courses listed on this academic plan will transfer to any other college or university.
