Health Care Management, Professional Practice Concentration, AS


The degree program is designed to provide the graduate with the knowledge and applied technical skills necessary for a qualified admittance into entry-level managerial positions within the healthcare industry. This program articulates with one or more institutions or agencies. Learning Outcomes:

Recipients of the Associate of Science in Health Care Management (Professional Practice concentration) will have demonstrated:

  1. application of management theory to real world and hypothetical healthcare situations.
  2. ability to identify and utilize innovative processes and trends to acquire, develop, and retain competent employees.
  3. utilization of innovative technologies in the management of healthcare information.
  4. ability to investigate, critically analyze, and solve issues using basic healthcare legal and ethical principles.
  5. successful interpretation and conveyance of technical information using both written and oral forms of communication.
  6. application of mathematical operations in the collection, analysis, and interpretation of data.
