Prerequisite(s): BLGY 110, BLGY 120, BLGY 120L, ALHT 105, ALHT 109, ALHT 116, and admission to Surgical Technology Clinical Program.
This course provides an initial orientation to the field of Surgical Technology. It introduces the student to the role of the surgical technologist, the OR environment, and proper communication and teamwork. Enrollment in the Surgical Technology Program courses is limited to those students who have been selected and admitted to the program. Program courses are sequenced by semester and must be taken as a group each semester per program requirements and policies.(Summer Session B only)
