The Theatre Technician Certificate of Technical Studies (CTS) program prepares graduates to work in various technical theatre areas including stage management, lighting, properties, scene painting, and costume construction. The curriculum provides study and hands-on experience for students interested in employment in the entertainment industry.

Learning Outcomes:

Recipients of CTS in Theatre Technician will have demonstrated:

comprehension of basic terminology, tools, painting techniques, construction, and safety concerns used in all technical areas of theatre;
the ability to work proficiently in at least four of the following areas: Stage Management, Lighting, Properties, Scene Painting, and Costume Construction; and
the ability to interview for an entry-level technical job in theatre or a related field.
