The Audio Technology Certificate of Technical Studies (CTS) program prepares graduates to work in sound reinforcement and studio recording environments. Students develop proficiencies that can be applied to professional career development or entrepreneurial goals.

Learning Outcomes

Recipients of the Certificate of Technical Studies in Audio Technology will have demonstrated:

skills required for entry-level employment in audio technology fields; and
skills to comprehend and evaluate information related to the area of audio technology.

COMM 109:Introduction to Audio Editing Credit Hours: 3
COMM 170:Introduction to Mass Media Credit Hours: 3
COMM 225:Audio Production in Media Credit Hours: 3
Communication Elective Credit Hours: 3 *

Second Semester: 12 Credit Hours

COMM 107:Sound Reinforcement Credit Hours: 3
COMM 111:Engineering for Comm Media Credit Hours: 3
COMM 290:Pro Tools Credit Hours: 3
Communication Elective Credit Hours: 3 *
