The Certificate of Technical Studies in A/C Refrigeration Helper II expands the students knowledge of HVAC refrigeration processes and applications, by providing instruction on safety, electrical fundamentals, electrical fundamentals, diagnostic techniques, and installation procedures.

- knowledge of the tools, equipment, and facilities necessary to service and maintain domestic and/or residential air conditioning and refrigeration units.
- various methods of ensuring workplace safety and professional work habits.
- ability to identify various types of pipes, tubing, and fittings.
- a knowledge of electrical terms and definitions, use of Ohm’s law mathematical formula, and electrical circuits.
- troubleshooting techniques to series, parallel and series-parallel circuits on selected ACR equipment.
