The Certificate of Technical Studies in Engineering Graphics provides the graduate with the skills needed to enter the broad field of engineering graphics. The certificate prepares individuals to function as entry level graphics specialists, and includes instruction on types of views, line and dimensioning standards, and spatial relationships of surfaces as typically used in engineering, industry, and architecture. Learning Outcomes:

Recipients of a Certificate of Technical Studies in Engineering Graphics will be able to:

1. communicate technical design information using techniques common in industry;
2. interact with engineers, architects, and other technical professionals in the field;
3. operate engineering graphics software, such as AutoCAD, Inventor, SolidWorks, and Revit;
4. apply basic design practices involving electricity, power transmission, and mechanics
5. construct both 2-D and 3-D engineering graphics projects; and
6. use various output devices such as plotters and 3-D printers to present and check designs.
