Industrial Engineering Technology, Engineering Graphics Concentration, AAS


The Associate of Applied Science in Industrial Engineering Technology with concentration in Engineering Graphics provides the graduate with the skills needed to enter the broad field of engineering graphics. The degree prepares individuals to function as entry level graphics specialists, and includes instruction on types of views, line and dimensioning standards, and spatial relationships of surfaces as typically used in engineering, industry, and architecture. The curriculum emphasizes 2-D and 3-D techniques, as well as computer software programs used in industry.

Learning Outcomes:

Upon completion of the Associated of Applied Science in Industrial Engineering Technology with a concentration in Engineering Graphics, the student will be able to:

  1. identify and communicate engineering graphics knowledge and techniques typically used in industry;
  2. interact with engineers, architects, and other technical professionals in the field;
  3. operate various engineering graphics software, such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and AutoDesk Revit;
  4. construct both 2-D and 3-D engineering graphics projects; and
  5. use various output devices such as plotters, and both 2-D and 3-D printers.

Specific Degree Information:

Students are encouraged to meet with an academic advisor concerning required courses and sequencing for this degree. This program articulates with one or more institutions or agencies. Refer to the Articulation Agreements  section of the catalog for further detail.

This program is accredited by the Association of Technology, Management, and Applied Engineering (ATMAE). In order to be eligible for graduation from this program transfer students must successfully complete a minimum of 12 technical credit hours from Bossier Parish Community College.
