PTAP 214:Therapeutic Exercise

Prerequisite(s): Selective admission to the Physical Therapist Assistant program.
Principles and techniques of therapeutic exercise in the management of patients with selected neurological, cardiovascular, metabolic and chronic disease problems. Emphasis on the application of selected exercise interventions and patient/family education to improve functional outcomes. Enrollment in the Physical Therapist Assistant Program (PTAP) courses is limited to those students who have been selected and admitted to the program. Program courses are sequenced by semester and must be taken as a group each semester per program requirements and policies.
