CDYC 101:Foundations of Early Childhood Development

Prerequisite(s): Score of 16+ on ACT Reading or score of 85+ on ACCUPLACER Placement Test or score of 70+ on COMPASS Placement Test or successful completion of READ 099   or concurrent enrollment in READ 099   AND successful completion of or concurrent enrollment in other required developmental coursework.
This course provides an overview of Early Childhood, including personal and professional growth and development, ethical standards, learning theories, principles of child development and learning, developmentally appropriate practices, working with families, and current issues and trends in Early Childhood Education.
